La Petite Houses

I've been working on a few little blocks, these house blocks are only 4.5" finished. Boy are these fussy little things to put together, I think they'll go into a small quilt. I also made a couple of little baskets, those might be separate small quilt at some point. The house fabrics are from La Petite Ecole, I think it means "The Little School".
Mary sent me a birthday gift and it arrived a bit late even with her sending it two weeks ahead. The post office is very unpredictable. She also included some chocolates with caramel, nuts but I ate those before I got the camera out....teehee.Thanks so much Mary, you are a sweet friend.

I just found out today, there is a pattern coming my way from here.

Happy Quilting.

Who can resist school house blocks? They will make a great quilt and the French General fabrics are a perfect choice for this project!

I like what I see here! I've been wanting to try my hand at doing a schoolhouse quilt. Funny adding those baskets to the houses make it very cute. May want to consider putting them together somehow.
Happy Birthday to you!!
Nice gifts from Mary. :0)

I have made those little houses before but sold the quilt to someone. I think I may make it again and pair it with a log cabin block. They just seem to go together.

I'm new to your blog, found it by accident and really like the layout. I love your little house blocks. It's one of the patterns I've always wanted to make--someday.
I saw your RRCB mystery button. I made Bonnie's mystery quilt this year too. I will be raffling it off to raise funds for my Avon 2-Day walk for breast cancer in May.
I'm also having a fabric giveaway this week. Hope you'll stop by and take a look.
Gail :)
